It was a pleasure to sing the National Anthem on Friday night September 22, 2017 before two undefeated teams, Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way Central played in front of a packed stadium in New Lenox, IL. If you are familiar with the high schools in that area these two schools are big time rivals so it was no wonder so many fans from both sides turned out the see the game. When I arrived the parking lots and surrounding areas were packed with cars, luckily they reserved a spot for me right in front! Thank you to the principle of Lincoln-Way Central Dr. Steven Provis for the VIP parking!
The fans were excited and really into the game! It was a awesome walking around and meeting so many students, parents, faculty and of course Blackhawk Fans! I actually met a former player of the (RIC) Chicago Blackhawks Sled Hockey Team, Bill Bodgans and I ran into my friend Hector Torres and his wife Theresa from Orland Park Toyota. I can't wait to be back to visit again!
